The overview

With Outlast as our reference we took a lot of inspiration from that game in how we guided the player and paced the events.

The start area

A calm and danger-free zone allowed the player to explore freely and be introduced to obstacles to jump over.


The obstacles you had to jump over were directly lit up from above or had lights before and after the object to make it clear for the player that they could jump over it.
